+ - Ubertooth One, an open source Bluetooth test tool->

Submitted by

mossmann writes "Ubertooth One is the world's first open source, widely available, low cost Bluetooth monitoring and development platform. Low cost off-the-shelf Wi-Fi adapters have supported monitor mode for years, and the technique has found diverse uses in security research, troubleshooting, product development, intrusion detection, and more. Unfortunately, there has never been an equivalent tool for Bluetooth before Ubertooth One, a fully open source platform (both hardware and software). In addition to Bluetooth sniffing, the platform can be used for spectrum analysis, Bluetooth Low Energy monitoring, and, with additional work on firmware, raw frame injection and more. I'm happy to announce that the first production run of Ubertooth One will be funded through Kickstarter on Monday, February 28th."
