Geeks in Space: Live from Kidmart 11

After a hiatus, the geeks have returned with yet another installment. Topics covered include NASA'a Maglev technology, made-to-order children, and the geeks' undying love and affection for yours truly. It's a good one, and you can pick it up at The Sync.

This one was good. Is there now a goal to kill off Pater in every episode? :P

I think this episode might finish off my second Geeks In Space CDR.. When do the official collectors' editions come out? (:

"Oh my God, they killed Pater! You bastards!"

Learn from me. I shopped at McKids, the fast-kid place. I WANTED a borg-like super human, but McKids screwed up and all he has is a mouse instead of a hand!!! Sending letterbomb now...^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H Have fun with that cool car, Pater... IF you are reincarnated. I use open source technology as a bed slip.
If you think you know what the hell is really going on you're probably full of shit.

The sound quality on this GiS really sucked. People fading in, fading out, and generally being hard to hear. Hopefully when you get the new sound recording sytem up it'll improve.

"...package management is for the weak..."

slackware has an excellent, elegant package management system. and best of all? it's industry standard. the last time i looked, everybody had tar and gunzip installed.

slackware keeps track of the packages installed, etc. of course, there isn't a large package repository.

    simplicity is the key.

    and

    use the source.

"...who's using slackware?" "whoever was using it 4 years ago."

in fact, there has been a significant increase in slackware use recently, and it is expected to increase with the release of slackware-7.0 that is complete with glibc2.1.2, xfre86 3.3.5, october gnome, kde 1.1.2, netscape 4.7, and linux 2.2.12.

Lets hope it'll also come with devfs utils installed. I think it's time it got out into the open.

Um... Try going back to the page (www.thesync.com/geeks) and clicking on the left hand side where it says ... Drumroll please... "Past Shows" Or if for some reason you can't do that check out http://www.thesync.com/geeks/archives.html

Your own mileage may vary.
